Pima Cotton - Cream
Size: 4.5 Metres
Pima cotton is known for its unusually long, silky fibers which when spun and woven, craft a fabric of unmatched appearance and texture.
Discovery of its domestication and importance to ancient cultures in South America and the West Indies confirm a history that spans 10,000 years. Native Americans grew the crop and spun and wove it into a fine fabric frequently presented as a tribute to kings.
Spinning and weaving were considered among the noblest and most treasured of skills, with foundational myths showcasing the value of cotton to ancient Americans. The cotton was eventually called Pima Cotton, after the Pima Indians, who cultivated the cotton in Arizona in the early 1900s.
FABRIC CARE / PRECAUTIONS
*Fabric Care Instructions*
Machine washable warm, between 30 and 50 C. For white fabric, bleach may be used, but it is best to test it first. Do not dry at high heat; air dry when possible, laid flat.
*Ironing*
When ironing, placing a light muslin fabric between the hot iron surface and your final item is suggested; this will help prevent bright spots where fabric is superheated past optimal finish - from appearing.
